Aidiladha isn’t just about korban – it’s about remembering the spirit of sacrifice.
Not just giving up what is easy to let go…
But giving up what is precious – for something even more meaningful.
Like how Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) was willing to give up his beloved son for the sake of Allah.
And how Hajar ran between Safa and Marwah – desperate, exhausted, but full of hope.
That same spirit lives on in us.
Every time we delay spending on what we want now…
To save for what really matters later.
For some of us, that sacrifice looks like this:
🌾 Skipping the latest tech
🌾 Choosing simpler clothes or meals
🌾 Saying no to wants – so we can say yes to something bigger
Like a dream we hold close to our hearts: to perform Hajj.
To stand on the plains of Arafah.
To answer a call that was made thousands of years ago – “Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk.”
But the journey is not cheap.
And it’s not getting cheaper.
That’s why some of us choose to save in gold – slowly, quietly, month by month.
Not to get rich.
But to prepare for a sacred purpose.
Because gold doesn’t vanish with inflation.
It doesn’t tempt you like cash.
It waits.
Just like you’re waiting – patiently – for your time to come.
So this Eid, while we feast and gather, maybe it’s also a moment to ask:
What am I willing to give up today, so I can answer His call tomorrow?
Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha, from my heart to yours.
May our small sacrifices be accepted.
And may your journey to the blessed lands – one day – be a reality, not just a dream.
🕋
